Government Web Site(s) Accessibility
February 22, 2007
From the Disability Policy Consortium’s (DPC) listserv on yahoogroups.com
The Disability Policy Consortium has started assessing the accessibility of web sites. We are beginning with State Government and then will move to Local Government and selected business web sites. We are interested in hearing from you about what sites you have tried to use but found them inaccessible for any reason. It could be the color combination does work for you, JAWS can’t read the forms, or it could be that the site is disorganized and it is difficult to find what you are looking for.
Please tell us by sending the link to the offending page in an email to info@....
The other frequent problem is finding documents that are posted in an inaccessible PDF format. Please send us the link to the document or, if you have downloaded the document, send it to us directly.
Thanks,
Bill Allan
