If you have not done this excellent two-day training offered by Mass. Office on Disability, here is your chance. Topics include a brief overview of the ADA and the Disability Rights movement, physical access in the built environment, Mass. Architectural Access Board regulations as they apply to new construction and alterations to existing facilities, planning a site visit, doing a survey of a facility, and advocating for access. Training will take place at Arlington Town Hall.
Registration DEADLINE is Friday, September 7. Cost: only $15 for consumers, $85 for professionals. Some scholarships are available.
