The Watertown Special Education Parent Advisory Council (SEPAC) presents Russ Hoyt on sibling relationships.

Russ Hoyt or Mr. Russ as he is known to the children is the Early Childhood Director of Boutwell Early Childhood Center for the Groton-Dunstable Regional School District. Mr. Russ has a long history working in early childhood settings, including being a Preschool Teacher, an Early Intervention Director, and the statewide Autism Specialist for the Department of Education.In addition to his professional career Mr. Hoyt has a personal connection to Special Education. Russ has two brothers Rick and Rob. Russ’s oldest brother, Rick, was born with cerebral palsy and can not walk, talk, feed or care for himself without assistance. However, Rick has run the Boston Marathon 26 times, completed the Ironman Triathlon 5 times as a team with his father and he graduated from Boston University with his bachelor’s degree in education.
Russ is also the father of two boys and is here today to share with us the story of his family, his relationships with both of his brothers, and to pass on some ideas and some research findings on how to support healthy sibling relationships.
