Legally blind choreographer has her own way of seeing

WATERTOWN – Juliette Cusick weaves among the other belly dancers rehearsing in the Brookline Academy of Dance. As they take their positions, hips slung in colored scarves, gold sequins flashing, Cusick continually asks them what looks better: Hips rotated up or down? Palms up or flat? As their choreographer, she is inviting collaboration.
