WATERTOWN – A court in Washington, D.C., recently ruled that U.S. paper money discriminates against citizens who are blind because we cannot distinguish among the bills. The squawking about the expense and inconvenience of implementing accessible currency reminds me of a story. It may be an urban legend, but it rings true for those of us who are blind. [more … ]
